Congratulations to Derek Chen - 2017 KCBA Scholar Speaker

Congratulations to Derek for being selected from a group of several nominees, to serve as the King County Bar Foundation’s Bar Scholar Speaker at the 2017 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Luncheon sponsored by the King County Bar Association. He accepted the honor on behalf of all recipients of the KCBF Minority Law Student Scholarship, which he received while attending University of Washington Law School and delivered a great speech ahead of Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post to a packed house of more than 900 attendees.
