Ruth Nielsen named President of the Association of Ski Defense Attorneys for Second Term

Shareholder Ruth Nielsen is serving her second term as President of the Association of Ski Defense Attorneys (ASDA) – an international organization of attorneys who defend ski areas and other recreational businesses.    Ms. Nielsen, along with Richard Jolley,  Amanda Butler, Brian Augenthaler and Derek Chen provide defense and risk management advice to the Washington ski areas and outdoor recreational organizations like the Mountaineers.  Ms. Nielsen and Mr. Augenthaler recently won a King County defense verdict in a chair lift loading case defending the Stevens Pass Ski area.  Ms. Nielsen has successfully defended the Washington ski areas in cases involving chair lift accidents, skier collisions, and skier falls.  Other areas of recreational defense include scuba diving accidents, climbing accidents, bike accidents, and defense of recreational equipment manufacturers.
