Danielle Rogowski

Associate

Danielle “Dani” Rogowski is an associate at Keating, Bucklin & McCormack. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. As a Senior Attorney Advisor, she represented the agency in a variety of civil litigation matters and advised executive staff on federal law and policy compliance. In this position, she also served as a sworn federal law enforcement officer where she augmented corrections officers in their daily tasks, earning her de-escalation instructor and armed prisoner transport certifications. Prior to her work with the BOP, Ms. Rogowski served as a Kitsap County Prosecutor and clerked for Justice Debra Stephens, Washington State Supreme Court.

Ms. Rogowski graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with military and academic honors. Upon commissioning in the United States Air Force, she served as an aircraft maintenance officer on a variety of weapons systems. After separating from active duty, she transferred to the JAG corps and is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Washington State Air National Guard. 

Representative Cases

  • COVID-19 Class Action Prisoner Litigation – Managed agency discovery obligations and represented BOP at emergency hearings involving COVID compliance protocols for the Federal Correctional Institution located in Sheridan, Oregon. Efforts culminated in receipt of a Law Enforcement Agency Partnership Award from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, D. Or.
  • Special Assistant U.S. Attorney – Secured favorable bench trial verdict in prisoner medical malpractice action.
  • Washington Air National Guard – Area Defense Counsel – Represented over 55 service members in a variety of miliary justice and administrative actions.
