Thomas P. Miller
Shareholder
Tom Miller is a shareholder with Keating, Bucklin & McCormack. Tom’s practice has an emphasis on civil rights defense, wrongful death, inquests, product liability, road design, construction litigation, and premises liability. Tom tries cases in state and federal court and has appeared and argued before the Washington State Court of Appeals and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Tom represents police officers, police departments, and other city officials throughout the state, defending them in civil rights and negligence cases. Tom is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (“FDCC”), one of the nation’s premier civil defense attorney organizations with 1,200 peer selected members world-wide. Tom serves on the FDCC’s Admissions Committee, Trial Tactics Committee, Membership Development and Retention Committee, and he is past Chair of its Civil Rights and Public Entity Liability section. Tom has been named a Super Lawyer each year since 2020.
Outside of work, Tom serves on the Board of Directors for Team Alpental Snoqualmie (TAS) ski team and was its President from 2015 through 2021. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the Pacific Northwest Ski Education Foundation (PNSEF) from 2017 through 2023. Tom lives in Sammamish and enjoys alpine skiing, cycling, mountain biking, water skiing, and tennis with his wife and two daughters.
