Margot Cotter
Associate
Margot has worked as a criminal litigation attorney for over ten years in California, and she is admitted to practice in both California and Washington. She has experience in jury trials, preliminary hearings, writing and arguing motions, reviewing cases for filing decisions, and running court calendar. Through her work on numerous cases for arraignment through trial, Margot is skilled in handling discovery, determining which motions are appropriate for that case, conducting legal research, communicating with law enforcement and witnesses, and preparing a case for jury trial. Margot uses her extensive experience, along with her strong work ethic and courtroom professionalism, to focus on obtaining the best outcome for each and every matter she works on.
Margot is a 2011 graduate of Pepperdine University of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the internationally recognized Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Additionally, she was an editor on the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary Journal. Margot also has a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Irvine.
